I fish from a Ranger 1850RS with my tournament partners for Walleye and Bass because it offers the flexibility to tackle both species exceedingly well. Being North America's only blind tournament professional, it's also important for me to know that my boat can be driven by anyone without risking the safety of those on board, it just handles so predictably and smooth, and still has the responsiveness of a performance boat. I think what I like about my Ranger the most though is the 1850's ample cockpit space. Even when there's three of us trolling for Walleye, there's always room for my 100 lb. Bernese Mountain Seeing Eye Dog.
Cheers,

I purchased my first fiberglass boat, the Ranger 1850RS with a Yamaha 150 Four
Stroke and it's a great boat. The ride is quiet, smooth and dry… more than what I expected. The
performance of the Yamaha and Ranger's hull is super. Ranger does build one boat at a time… every
detail that I have seen (and I did inspect the boat and trailer everywhere) is top notch. I love the
new dash layout, the re-designed rear jump seats and the Ranger Trailer has no equal. Keep building
your boats. This boat to me is perfect.

Construction, fit and finish, and reputation are my primary criteria in making
the final choice of a boat. After narrowing my choices to three quality manufacturers, I bought a
Ranger 1850 last year. Now with a full season's use I couldn't be happier. The quality of
construction and attention to detail are outstanding. Ranger's customer service is also top notch.

I knew when I bought my Reata 1850 that I was getting the top of the line boat.
When we hit the water on Mille Lacs this weekend, I did not know how good I actually had it. The
ride was beyond belief, smoother than I ever expected and not a drop in the boat. I was going to
wait to purchase a Ranger until I returned from my second deployment overseas, but I wanted to repay
my debt to my dad. I do not regret my decision; my father had a grin from ear to ear all weekend
while in our new Ranger boat. I am finally able to pay him back for his dedication to our country
with the most joyful and comfortable fishing experience in our new Reata. He is hard of hearing, but
with the 150 Yamaha we can still carry on a conversation while cruising from one spot to the next.
THANK YOU RANGER!

The design and layout of this boat is pure genius. It takes on a slow cruise down
the calm river and the next day can transition to windy Canadian breakers without a worry. It can
pull crank baits or wake boarders all within minutes of each other. I'm no longer impressed with
other boats when I see them and they are all benchmarked against the 1850 Reata... Take a bow
Ranger, and an extra day off for the design team!

I spent 3 years researching boats and ultimately fell in love with Ranger
technology when I saw a 1750 Reata. Finally I got into the position to buy one and I upgraded my
acquisition to the 1850 with a 150 Evinrude ETEC HO. I had already decided that my next boat would
have an Evinrude (like my last 3 other outboard powered boats). The real surprise came after I got
it on the water; I still can't believe how quietly it runs and rides and how well all of the
amenities are thought out and executed. The 150 Evinrude can troll slowly all day at 400 rpm without
any smoke or stutter (amazing!) and the ride and stability are outstanding for a boat of this size,
even in rough water. Now my son is preparing to buy one (his sights were on a more affordable rig
but I convinced him this was the only real investment in boats, so he will buy one soon).
My
father in law had a 1969 Ranger Bass boat for 30 years (blue interior, yellow hull, 65 hp Evinrude)
and I remember borrowing it frequently in the mid 90's and that it was extremely solid and stable
and the fish in the livewell always stayed alive. At 88 years old, he pushed me toward Ranger. I
succumbed and I can't quit feeling great about my boat. Wow Ranger, what a perfect boat and a great
investment!!

Got my first real boat 2 weeks ago and I love it. Perfect for us and our three
children. Lake Nipissing can have big waves and this boat handles them no problem! What a ride!
Thanks Ranger for a quality boat!

Finally!!! I was able to purchase a new Reata 1850 a few weeks ago! I never
thought that day would come! My wife and I had an excellent experience with the whole buying
process. The dealership was awesome (Soo Sports). Thanks Ranger! This has been a long time waiting!
